Bic's Flicks is a one-person movie review site: honest reactions to the films one guy actually watched, rated, and felt like writing about.

Full disclosure: this site was built by Steve as a gift for his best friend, Eric Bickelhaupt, the Bic in Bic's Flicks.

What this is

It's a running log of movies, each with a rating out of ten and a short write-up. No press screenings, no obligation to like the things everyone else likes, no algorithm deciding what gets covered. Just one viewer's take, kept on the record so you can tell whether his taste lines up with yours before you trust a recommendation.

How the reviews work

Every review here is tied to a film that was genuinely watched and scored. The write-ups begin from real notes jotted down after the credits roll. An AI assist helps shape those rough notes into readable prose, but the opinions, the rating, and the final word are entirely human; nothing is published that doesn't match what the reviewer actually thought. When a film gets a rewatch, the history is kept rather than quietly rewritten, so you can see how an opinion held up over time.
