Walked out of that theater inspired. Like, actually inspired. Not the polite kind where you nod and forget about it by the time you hit the parking lot. The real kind.

Start to finish, this movie just works. The songs are bangers, all of them. I'm not going to pretend I didn't hum them on the drive home.

What got me though was the faces. The concern in the eyes, the emotion in every single scene. You can feel what the characters are feeling, and that's not easy to pull off when you're working with animation. Somebody cared about every frame.

The story is completely made up and it's still great. That's the trick, right? You can invent whatever you want, but you have to make me believe it. This made me believe it.

Seeing it on the big screen was the right call. It hit harder there than it ever would have at home. Stuck with me. Still does.
