Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu

The action is immense, exactly the kind of scale you show up for. Fight sequences land like you'd expect from this corner of the galaxy, no surprises, no complaints.

What sold me was the heart underneath. You can feel that Mando cares for Grogu, and that thread runs through everything. Pedro Pascal is a genuine actor, and somehow Grogu actually feels like a living being on screen, not a puppet, not a toy, an actual creature with weight and presence.

Didn't blow the doors off, didn't disappoint either.

One nitpick: there's a scene where the droids are visibly shaking, and it pulled me right out. Small thing, but I noticed.

Took the kids, and we all walked out fine. Didn't blow the doors off, didn't disappoint either. About what I expected, which honestly isn't a bad place to land.

Would I watch it again? Yeah. And days later, it's still rattling around in my head. That counts for something.
