Mortal Kombat II

Way better than I expected. There, I said it up front.

Some of these fights absolutely rip. A couple others lean campy in a way that pulled me out, but the highs more than carry the lows.

Johnny Cage is the best addition here. Slots right in, feels like he belongs, and every time he's on screen the movie's a little more fun for it.

My one real gripe: the hero from the last one got shoved to the back burner. Felt like a weird call after spending a whole movie building him up.

I watched it with the family, I'd watch it again, and yeah, it stuck with me.
