The Wrath of Becky

Becky spent two years training for a rematch, and damn if the movie doesn't let her cash it in.

Lulu Wilson is back in a big way. The rage here is unstoppable, the kind that doesn't blink, doesn't negotiate, doesn't need a speech. She's the kid version of John Wick and she wears it well.

It knew the job and it did the job.

And the kills. Still creative, still nasty, still landing exactly the way you want them to. Somebody in this production clearly enjoys their job, and I enjoyed watching them enjoy it.

Seann William Scott turns in a pretty intense bad guy, too. No notes there. He commits.

There's a little twist at the end that felt like it might be setting up a sequel. I'm fine with that. Bring it.

This was about what I figured it'd be, and sometimes that's the compliment. It knew the job and it did the job. I'd watch it again without thinking twice, and it stuck with me longer than a movie like this has any right to.

That said, I'm not handing this to everybody. Some people will bounce right off it. But if you know who you are, you already know.
